You can do some limited wave-scanning if you make oscillator crossfade a destination in the mod matrix. Obviously you only have four oscillators to work with, but since they crossfade through one to the other the sonic effect is not far from sounding as though you were scanning through interpolated waves.
I haven't played too much with this trick yet, and so the best results were using the mod wheel as the modulator. Some of the LFO/matrix settings weren't jiving with the particular patch I tested this on.
To add to the illusion I FM'd the oscillators from various sources and modulated that in various ways. I think these things combined would make a Waldorf XT owner proud.

Is that how you made the sound for Mr. Pig? Are you gonna get him hooked up with a Fusion? Great sound by the way. This is more proof of why I have been haunting VSE trying to tell those guys to try this Synth out.

No one "gets" Mr. Pig anything. Yeah, that's part of the technique I used for that sound.
