As I sit here at work - pondering the possible ways to start creating my own arp library . . . . I recently decided to give the fusion sequencer a bit more attention - getting away from the software seq thing for a bit. I was just thinking: I should be able to just improvise into the sequencer in song mode, and then cut/copy and paste tasty bits into the arp editor and save them as new arps, right? Anybody with any cool arp or sequencer tips or a confirmation of what I was thinking please chime in! Thanks kev

If you have a midi sequencer on your pc, make a one track midi file, save it as afa, and transfer it to your fusion..it's an arp Gary

Sorry..but when you said "anybody with any cool arp or sequencer tips", I thought you were opening it up for any kind of arp tips.
It's been reported that sequences (.afs) can be opened on a pc as a midi file (.mid).. and my tip said to rename your (.mid) to (.afa) for arp. So, I would think that if you have a 1 track afs file and rename it afa and put it in the appropriate location, you can indeed use those improvisations as arps.

Yes, I do appreciate the tip - didn't mean that to come across as rude. So more about this afs / midi file thing . . . how exactly do you go about doing this? I get did through recording one of my own, at least the A part, couldn't get the A fill part to record, though, and the fusion locked up a few times during the process. At any rate, life's too short to do all of this internally - I'm going back to the external software seq. So, I'll start digging about on this import/export midi file thing. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - no really!! ;D kev
