Hey Forum!
When creating a new mix (like a rhodes layered with strings) why does Fusion always load the Holy Grail piano in first?
Is there a way to shut this function off so I can start with the sound I want, THEN add the other parts?
Thanks!

No way to tell the Fusion not to use the HG Piano as the default part for new mixes, but you can create a template mix to use instead of the new mix function. Just delete the HG Piano part from a new mix and save it. Took me a while and some advice from this forum to realize that and it's a great time saver. Just save the mix as something different so you don't overwrite your original template.

In program mode you can do it in this way:
- Search the 1st program you want to use - Edit > Utility > Create new mix, save - Back to program mode and search the 2nd/3rd etc. program - Edit > Utility > Add to mix
That's it.

In program mode you can do it in this way: - Search the 1st program you want to use - Edit > Utility > Create new mix, save - Back to program mode and search the 2nd/3rd etc. program - Edit > Utility > Add to mix That's it. Not to disagree with you... In Program Mode, the only selections I have on the Utility page for Mixes are: Generate Layer Mix, Generate Split Mix, and Add To Current Mix... With the exception of the latter, HG Piano will always end up in the mix (unless, maybe, something else was reassigned/programmed into its Program slot). I concur with amosdef about a template. Templates are always a great idea/and time saver! D
