Moving MIDI files between laptop sequencer and Fusion, any Bank numbers I’ve put into sequences are changed, usually to 0. What am I doing wrong?

I think (but I'm not at home right now to check) that bank numbering is determined by the order of banks in a text file called, I think bank.txt which gets re-created every time you verify stuff. The fusion has a charming way of re-ordering stuff in that file to suit itself, because it manages the links between banks and programmes by the name so doesn't really care what the bank number is.
Perhaps someone else can confirm this

Perhaps someone else can confirm this No, the Fusion looks at banknumbers, not at banknames. When you change the order of program or mixbanks the Fusion takes the wrong banks and thus the wrong programs or mixes. It also is very logical that the Fusion looks at banknumbers because MIDI-programchange-messages also are numbers and not names. Be careful with rearranging your banks because your mixes or songs get screwed up. See also: www.promusicproducts.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2224&highlight=banknumbers

If you multiply all your bank numbers by 128, does the problem go away?
