I am sooooo happy w/ this board! I got it Friday & haven't got any sleep. Now, back 2 this sequencer thingie. I have FL 7, Cool Edit & Guru. Can I use FL7 as my sequencer? I can get the start/stop & midi tempo control to work but not midi note recording or record start from FL to the Fusion. Help!

Hello, you can use FL Studio 7 as your sequencer and I highly recommand this choice but you can't use the PLAY/START/STOP buttons as no signal is send from the Fusion... I agree, it is a shame

I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you're asking. If you want to used the transport controls on the fusion then i may have an idea here, I don't own a fusion yet but surely it sends out midi time code? If it does then you may be able to use a trick that I use on my EX7.
Set up an empty sequence of the desired tempo, time signature and length in your fusion then set your computer to slave mode.
I remember it took some trial and error before I found the right settings (they have to be right in both the synth and software) but it works ok for me in sonar.

Well I'm pretty sure I've used my Fusion to control my XL7's sequencer (although I'd have to check to be positive). Are you sure the Fusion doesn't transmit MMC controls...?

The learning curve here is wild! I thought I was pretty good. It seems that my instruments then (ASR-10 & K2vx) were doing all the hard work! Thanx 4 all the help so far. I'm doing the cut & paste thing right now so that's fixing most of my sequencing problems.
