I'm back! Does anyone know how to create an arpeggio? If I can use 4 - 8 bar arpeggios... who needs a step sequencer?!? If anyone has an answer, please post it or email me (t_r_mash@yahoo.com) Thanx! ;D

Well, you can record one - which basically works the same way as recording a sequence, only you have just one channel, but actually finding the right screen to record one is, er, an interesting exercise in initiative Or you can build them on your favourite sequencer and export them as SMF (I think as type 0, but don't quote me), and import them as arps. *... downloads Fusion manual...* Right - to record an arpeggio, you need to go into the Arp menu (from the Program, Mix or Song you happen to be in - press Edit, then select Arp) and then select Pattern / Record (although you'll probably want to go to Pattern / Setup first). ...Except it's not that simple, because you can record four variations of the pattern (or, in fact, four completely different patterns) in one arpeggio - although two of them are fills or bridges. And then there's the matter of deciding how to play them back, which is exhausting in itself! The only way to get to grips with the modes is to go through them in turn, with the manual pinned open, and work out how what it says about them relates to what they actually do... the Fusion's arpeggiator is a hugely powerful beast, but it's also fearfully complicated!

Thanx again. I was trying 2 use them in the sequencing process but I found an easier route... cut & paste! I'll use the arps 4 fills & such. Melodies too.
