Hi - I was so excited today my new Fusion 8HD arrived (Sweetwater version). ;D Unfortunately, it appears there is a glitch with the keys. It seems like it might be software rather than hardware because of the pattern of the proglem. Starting with the lowest D then going up eight 1/2 steps to Bb, the same interval up to F#, same interval to next D, same interval to next Bb - pressing these five keys produces no sound in any program or mix. Any ideas at all how I might reset or reinitialize something to correct this problem? I am bummed to think I might have to ship it back for service. I have spent a lot of time trying to understand which new keyboard I wanted (I have an Alesis QS8 that has been perfect for 12 yrs) and, despite problems I've read of, I think the Fusion will be great for me. I pray that I will not be unlucky with a buggy board. Thanks for any tips or advice or even sympathy!

Actually, that sounds more like hardware to me - like one of the keyboard decoder lines isn't working.
Best send it back for a new one.

You are probably right - I hooked it up as controller to my QS8 and the same keys do not trigger sound. Any other suggestions I can try before Monday when I can ship it?

I hope this can be cleared up. I noticed my old keyboards light up the led on my MIDI SPORT usb interface. but THE HD does not SHOW MIDI activity. I get a sound but it crashed the VST on my laptop. NO one has yet been able to answer this question of why the BAD DATA courpts the MIDI OUTPUT of the HD6. any suggestions ??

alseiskeyz,
Firstly, you only posted more details twenty minutes previously, and in a different thread. If you seriously expect a complete answer in less than 24 hours... you're on the wrong board. The traffic on this one just ain't that high.
Secondly, this thread has nothing to do with your problem. Find or start one that does.

Hi. New member. I received my Sweetwater Fusion yesterday, and I got the same issue: 8 consecutive dead keys. Seems to be a known issue. Francois

Two occurrences doesn't make for a known issue!
