I have just come back from a live performance with the Fusion which wasn't pleasing. I had thoroughly prepared the 2 mixes to use both of which included the Holy Grail Piano (HGP). When it came to time of performance I turned the Fusion on there was no piano sound in the mix I had just prepared hours earlier. Needless to say the particular piece the band (and I) played, which was supposed to have a solo piano component, was a lame affair. I have just brought the Fusion back home and turned it on, and everything is fine. I still don't understand what went wrong.

Make sure that you didn't make any changes to the filter settings using the knobs. There's still a bug in the OS that allows filter changes to stay set even when changing to a new program/mix. If you hit the STOP button after making any filter changes, it will manually reset the filter. It will also perform an all notes off command, so make sure you don't have any notes sounding when you hit it. If the filter frequency's set low, you'll definitely cut out most of the piano, it's happened to me a bunch of times.

Might be an idea to try it a bit before that, just in case.

Another hint (speaking from my own experience): make sure that you 'link' the programs in a song. When you are editing your song, and you have selected e.g. track 3, this track sounds fine. However, after booting or switching back from another song or mix, your song will default to track 1 and you will not hear what's on track 3.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions to that problem !
Amosdef, your suggestion to hit the stop button when something is not right, really worked for me in the next gig. Thanks for that tip.
It also, temporarily, fixes the problem I have with sudden filter setting changes.
Alesis support suggested that I take my Fusion in for service, but I'm starting to wonder whether these sudden filter changes are not a software related issue rather than hardware related, given (a) that simply pressing the Stop button resets (at least temporarily) the filter to the normal setting, or (b) changing the Foot Pedal Function setting in the Global - Settings - Control screen also (temporarily) fixes the problem.

seems like a SW thing to me as well, maybe even not a bug, but just an accidential twist of a button or so...
Also, if you use the sequencer, DELETE all those stupid program inserts the Fusion does (for a very mysterious reason) - it messes up your set
