I have been having a blast over the holidays with my 8HD I've programmed a bunch of "moog-like" classics, using old Moog patch sheets as the starting point! And I've bee having huge, HUGE fun with mix mode. I just love the ability to stack, layer, fade, set controllers for up to 8 sounds simultaneously! Going to have to start rehearsing the band soon in the new year and getting the sounds I want is turning out to be a BREEZE. I love this thing!

Glad you're having so much fun. And I'm glad to see a positive post. Like most forums, if people are enjoying the product they tend not to post about it, so it's always good to see people posting about the good things, of which there are plenty. Be sure to check out this post of mine that might help you with your mixes. It's a few shortcuts and techniques I learned from gigging with the Fusion this past year. fusioneer.proboards102.com/index.cgi?board=hints&action=display&thread=1166222830Have fun!

A satisfied customer - we should have him stuffed (*) Glad to hear you're having a blast. Get your hands dirty with Fusion and you soon see how good it is. And - of course - the more you do with it, the easier (and better) it gets especially as you get to know the quirks and some of the hidden depths. As Amos says - good to hear a success story... let's hear more of them! Steve (*) UK humour reference to Basil Fawlty of 'Fawlty Towers'

Steve, please not that my spare time is equally divided into playing my Fusion and watching my Fawlty Towers DVDs - please do not make me change that into a 40/60 proportion

Markone, I am glad that you are learning what we all have discovered about the Fusion. It's also nice to see Jamie back up and running again. Basil Fawlty and Diana Trent where are you?

Steve Admin, could you make a "user sounds" category, like for the user demos ? Maybe there's a thread about it, but I'm a bit lazy with reading all this English stuff :-)

I have posted a fair bit about problems with my 6HD, so I think it's time to note how good I think the Fusion is. As Steve from Hollow Sun mentioned, the Fusion is, (perhaps) not a synth that provides immediate gratification. But once you get to know it, it is an incredible piece of gear for the money. Just one example: I only recently discovered the "Link" feature in Song mode (slow off the mark I am as usual!), and what a great feature that is, allowing me to play, not just one, but any number of layers of instruments in song mode along with the recorded tracks in a song. Overall, the Fusion is giving me the kind of freedom and flexibility in a keyboard I have been dreaming about at a very affordable price. Another thing: I'm in Australia and called Alesis Tech support in the US for support on a particular issue. I was amazed to get a live operator answering the phone, and to get to speak, straightaway, with one of Alesis's support people about my problem. That speaks volumes to me about the support that Alesis is putting behind products such as the Fusion.
