Hello everyone,
my name is Gaz and at precisely 10.05 am this morning I became a proud owner of an Alesis Fusion 8HD. Thanks to some very informative emails I had with the wonderful Steve Howell (another Welshman like myself) I took the plunge.
I am primarily a bass player but I work as a music producer and will find the Fusion invaluable in my productions. Also I hope to improve my dodgy keys playing too. I have agreed to play keys in a Bristol based prog rock group so nothing like a trial by fire!
Speaking of prog that is one of the main reasons I bought the fusion as i was looking for a synth that could do all the classic prog sounds - RMI, Minimoog, Hammond, Rhodes, Wurli, Clavinet, Mellotron etc.
I am going to be working on creating a performance bank with these prog mainstays.
Just a little aside, my Fusion came with an 80 gig hard drive which was a nice little discovery, I have read somewhere that the last batch of Fusions all have this expanded drive although there is no mention of it on the Alesis website.
Speaking of said website, I noticed that Alesis have just updated their website reducing some of the Fusion content including a breakdown of the contents of the Hollow Sun sound packs. There used to be a page of info detailing what was in each Hollow Sun expansion, I can't seem to find that info so if anyone has a link to that I would be very grateful.
I hope to be a regular on this website so I will see you later!
All the best,
Gaz
