ok so heres the deal i'm working with an mpc 2kxl and my fusion midi'd with the mpc as master (why there is there no mtc in the fusion??? oh well i'll use midi clock but it seams slightly more shakey) the real question i'm having is i assume the way that this will work out best is for each new song i make i should create a new song in the fusion and add tracks each track corrosponding to a midi channel of wich i set that track to on the mpc... got that working problem is this... how do i get the fusion to only control those certain mdid tracks i want at that particular time? i.e. i have a choir on midi track one and a rhodes sound on midi track 2... how do i play just the rhodes from the keyboard? it seams to play both even when i have the mpc set to midi track two (i'm sure i could get it to if i hook up my external keycontroler but i'd rather just use the fusion... thanks in advance.
p.s. should the mpc be set to an omni mode for each individual midi track? i can get them to seperate like i want except i have to turn the other enabled tracks to off wich means i can't hear the whole mix when i record each seperate part. i know it's somthen simple i'm missin here.

for some reason i got it working fine now... what i do with my mpc (this is for future noobs) is i when i make a beat using the two machines midi'd i create a new song on the fusion add track 1 midi channel one track 2 midi channel 2 ect... i guess you need to be in the specific track that your tracking at that moments' page in order to not trigger anyother tracks (and have your mpc track on the proper midi channel) all seams well so far... and after the update my midi clock seams to be holding more steady to my mpc (not that it matters cause all i'm doing is triggering the sounds) ;D ;D ;D this board is fantastic... love it so much more than that triton i used to have

just wondering is this the way most people set there midi up when using the fusion as a slave? i gotta say this board has me floored... so easy to get around and it sounds great. love the speak an spell sounds lol... though the sk1 doesn't sound as gritty as my actuall sk1 (the sounds on the fusion of it seam just a bit more usable lol)

Is what you're doing any simpler using the mix mode that way you don't have to create a whole new song on the Fusion unless you want to? I'm asking because this what I'm doing today for the first time and it seems to work pretty well so far.
