Hello, I have the 6HD three days now and have found one very strange thing: Many of the organ sounds have routed the Mod wheel to change the rotary speaker speed, but it does not work. If I route this functionality to other source (i.e. switch), it works fine. Some other functions work well on the mod. wheel (i.e. Drive in the Rotary Speaker effect)... Can anybody explain? Thanks a lot.

Whats' your audio setup, do you have stereo setup - left & right speakers or mono setup?
Which sound banks work and which ones don't?

Thanks a lot. Effects setting must be Rotary and Mod Destination assigned to the concerned Bus Effect and to High or Low Motor Rate with full amount. Consider that changing the Effect type can reset the Destination assignment and "suddenly" the Effect is gone Check Preset Bank 1/020 Ballad Organ 1 as nicely working example and do the same assignments and settings for own Program Presets if you prefer the Mod Wheel as Rotary Speaker speed controller.

Hi there!
I'm using the Alesis Fusion 8HD several years without any problems. But today I've got a strange behavior. Suddenly I can't play any sounds in the program mode, there is no audio. In the mix and song mode I have no problems to play sounds. Has anybody an idea how to fix this?
Niko!

Hi Niko - and welcome to the forum . . . .
Perhaps try a factory reset . . . .
Hold down <Rec> and <Play> while you power ON
(This will also reset any GLOBAL settings you have altered, to their defaults - so you will need to reset them to your taste)
Best Regards

Hi parametric!
Thank you for the response and sorry for my late answer. The Factory-Reset did not help. But I solved my problem... when a Expressionpedal is connected, everything is ok. But when not, sometime there is no sound. Strange behaviour.

But when not, sometime there is no sound. Strange behaviour. Niko! Niko, you use the expression pedal to control the volume, right - is full volume achieved when the pedal is in up or down position? I use an Alesis CF-1 pedal and full volume is achieved with the pedal in the down position. Sounds like it may be just a matter of the pedal position or there could be a problem with the Expression Pedal Jack. What pedal are you using for the volume control? Is global setting Mod+Volume?

Hi, I have an issue with the piano sample sounds. All the programs that are using holy grail piano samples are not playing and when i try to load one of those sounds I receive an error message "cannot read file on rom" error code (0x0300000D). I had the same problem before, send it for repair as long as it was still inside warranty period. They fixed it and send it back, but after a few weeks the same problem reappeared. Do you believe an Os reinstall can fix the problem? Is it safe to do it?
thanks Aris

What did they do when they repaired your Fusion last time, if you do not know I would inquire about what they did to fix it.

I asked them so many times but I was communicating with a sales man and not the technicians and he wasn't sure what did they do to repair it. I maybe give it a try again and ask him one more time. Could you please tell me what CF card do I need to buy to do the O.S. reinstall? Is there any tutorial how to reinstall O.S.? Thank you

In my experience they DON'T WORK if plugged in as an afterthought - and may even cause unpredictable behavior . . . . Just a thought . . parametric

Cannot read file on ROM does not have a cause or a remedy in this list with the error codes . I did contact the "musicstore.de" which I bought the instrument and they couldn't help me, they didn't know who was the technician who repaired it, or he wasn't there anymore... messed up situation. I will try to reinstall the OS. With the tutorial you posted seemed very easy. That process will delete my songs, programs, mixes, etc? thanks in advance for your help
