What's the problem with your Fusion? It's just pressed on. Using a small flat screw driver Gently pry on one side of the encoder wheel. Rotate 180 degrees and Gently pry again. Continue this until you can lift the encoder wheel off

Hi <iridium>, It might be that the display works, but the BACKLIGHT has failed. Can you see ANYTHING on the screen if you look closely (with a torch, perhaps?) If you CAN see something, then maybe THIS POST: fusioneer.proboards.com/thread/2478/fix-backlight-less-5 offers a cheap solution to replace the backlight with leds. This is an old post, and mentions that the PSU and display are no longer available. In actual fact, (as you probably know), the Fusion shares certain parts with the Akai MPC5000 - and these do INCLUDE the PSU and the display . . . . Best to check in France with an Akai Professional Agent for details . . . . Perhaps this helps? (I think <Jesse> has posted somewhere in these forums, the part nos. you need to ask for) [EDIT - Some details here: promusicproducts.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5933#p32844 in the other Forum . . .]bon chance! parametric

The fact that you can play sound is good other wise your Fusion's main PCB might be bad I would go with what Parametric is saying, hopefully all you need to do is replace the stock backlight with an LED back light Keep us up to date with your progress. I looked at PC power supplies, but I don't believe they provide all the voltage variations needed by the Fusion. If you found one that is compatible an exterior housing could be used with a connector added to the Fusion, this would also eliminate a lot of heat from the Fusion and make it easy to replace the PSU when needed Jesse

For the PSU from PC the problem is Fusion need -16 volts and PC have only -12 Volt and I don 't have knowlegde to transform -12 v to -16v I think I must buy PSU ( mpc 5000) and after see for the screen
and yes , to have sound is a good sign But on this forum I see we can buy a screen for only 28$ Are your living in USA ?

Have you tried resetting your fusion to the default settings, sometimes that helps, sometimes not. Pressing these buttons while booting up provides additional information or processes Record + Play during powerup Re-initialize device. Resets parameters to default values.
